NPHOMECARE offers a wealth
of personal and functional care and associated domestic services to meet the needs of our clients, these may include
older people, those with a learning disability, physical disability and people who need assistance due to illness to
live in their own homes and community. This will be achieved by promoting a standard of excellence which embraces
fundamental principles of Good Care Practice that is witnessed and evaluated through the practice, conduct and control
of quality care in the domestic environment.
Support is provided in partnership
with our clients their carers and family, respecting their diverse needs, preferences and choices.
It is standard practice for
a member of the management team to visit you prior to commencing any service to better understand your individual support
needs then together we can formulate a Person Centred Support Package that meets your needs.
Befriending Service
We all need a friend in our lives, sometimes we or our loved ones can become isolated
in the community, maybe due to ill health or a disability, a befriender is a link to your community, and will be a reliable,
supportive individual with whom you can build an understanding with through mutual trust, and at all times ensuring your
confidentiality
Light housework
This can be anything from vacuuming, straightening of living areas, and keeping kitchen
and bathroom areas sanitary. Assistance with household tasks such as taking out the bins and recycling, Your
Support worker will load the washer and dryer, fold/iron clothes and linens, and change bedding. Feeding of
household pets can be arranged on request. Other indoor and outdoor tasks can be arranged through consultation. This service
will help with the basics of maintaining a safe and suitable household
Personal Shopper
For those days when you cant go out shopping to fetch your essential daily shopping
requirements. Our friendly staff will arrange to collect items on your behalf. We can also escort you to your
favourite shops and help to carry light bags.
Meal preparation
Adequate nutrition and hygiene is essential for when someone’s motivation and
appetite may become suppressed. Our staff can prepare attractively presented meals and snacks according to your
wishes in manageable portions, at all times promoting healthy eating and safe food preparation.
Planned days out
Our Staff will be happy to escort you on planned days out, this can be to do just
about anything, fishing, shopping, arts and crafts, bingo or just finding a nice cafe to sit and have a chat, the only
limit here is your imagination. Your Support Worker will be more than happy to offer suggestions for planned days
out in line with your hobbies and interests.
Sitter Service
If you are the regular carer for a friend or loved one, there will be times when you need
to do things in your own life, doctors appointments, shopping or just time off to meet up with friends. Our "Sitter Service"
can cover these times in the care and support you provide, allowing you to have some time away, with the peace of mind that
your loved one will be supported by trained staff who will ensure that they are treated with dignity and respect
at all times.
24 hour live in services
Within our Basic Care and Support Service clients can request any hours of support that
they need from 1 hour per week to our 24 hours a day 7 days a week live in service, including Awake/Asleep night support.
Night support can also be taken up as a standalone service.
Advanced Care and Support

Assistance with bathing and dressing
Our trained staff will help with all aspects of personal hygiene ensuring your
privacy and dignity are upheld and you are treated with respect at all times. This service includes assisted
baths with specialist equipment, showers, hip baths, bed baths, hair washing and other specialist cleansing services With
or without specialist equipment assistance with personal hygiene can be facilitated to promote well being within
a healthy environment
Medication reminders
We can only assist clients to take prescribed medication. This will apply
to medication taken orally ONLY. The use of eye drops, eardrops and the application of creams and ointments must
be authorised by the service users GP or Community Nurse
Our Support Staff can offer the following assistance as needed:
Opening medicine containers, particularly where this may prove difficult for our
clients (child-proof closures, etc) Ensure that medicines are within expiry date, are taken at the prescribed intervals,
and in the correct dosages. Noting any out-dated medicines and arranging for these to be returned to the chemist. Ensuring
that medication is kept in a safe place, which is both known and accessible to the client. Noting the quantity of tablets
in a container, and performing a daily check to ensure that the correct dosages have been taken.
Eating and oral Hygiene
Our staff can support clients who due to illness or a disability are unable to feed themselves.
We promote independence in eating by encouraging clients to do whatever they can for themselves. Encourage them to hold
and eat finger foods, and participate in eating any way they can. Independence with eating may have an impact on
their feelings of self worth and good health. Special feeding devices may be very helpful in promoting independence.

Both personal and intimate subjects and yet very necessary, our trained staff
